Financial Planning Partner
We have found that a large number of our clients are not aware that we also provide financial services like financial planning, personal insurances like life, TPD, trauma and income protection through our association with Australian Unity Financial Services. We can even get finance for homes and equipment via the same association or via our network of business partners. Australian Unity are one of Australia’s longest standing provider of Financial Services and were previously as Manchester Unity, a name some may be more familiar with.
Quite often when completing our clients’ year end financial statements and income tax returns we require information from their financial planner so as to ensure the correct deductions are claimed, and getting the information can be quite a lengthy process. Where these matters are handled in-house this is obviously not an issue. There is also the opportunity to get all your financial needs taken care of in one place, a one stop shop, if you will.
Our financial planner’s name is Edan Wilson and besides looking after your insurance needs she can provide advice on your investment portfolio, whether in your own capacity, or within your Self Managed Superannuation Fund. She can be contacted through our office and will meet with you either in the office or outside at a venue convenient to you. Her objective is to provide you with the alternatives that may suit your needs depending on your individual circumstances. All consultations are no obligation and are certainly not a hard sell approach that you may have had from some financial planners.
We are also well versed in administration of Self Managed Superannuation Funds and Alec Brandon has been accredited with the SMSF Specialist designation by CPA Australia. He has significant knowledge of Superannuation law and can help you avoid the pitfalls of contravening the SIS Act as well as keep you informed of your obligations and responsibilities as trustee.
Alec is also a registered ASIC SMSF auditor so is acquainted with the pitfalls that many trustees are unaware of.
So, when you see adverts in this area on the television screen don’t be fooled into thinking that you are getting some bargain deal. Our process is not a one size fits all approach and you will avoid the kind of unpleasant surprises you hear about when you come to claim and some exclusion may not have been explained to you.
